BCAAs are one the most essential supplements for serious athletes and fitness connoisseurs; however, many BCAA formulas on the market distort the ideal leucine to isoleucine to valine ratio - such as 5:1:1 or even 6:1:1. Although leucine is the most critical amino acid for muscle protein synthesis, studies suggest that a 2:1:1 ratio (2 parts Leucine: 1 part Isoleucine: 1 part Valine) delivers superior results.
