Pair these ingredients with clinical doses of specific nootropics such as L-Tyrosine for crystal clear focus and potent vasodilators such as Citrulline, and you have a robust formula for fueling both physical and mental performance.
What's in this monster formula that will take your workouts into the next dimension??? Here's the full breakdown!
Citrulline Malate - 6,000mg
What is L-Citrulline? L-Citrulline is what we call a non-essential amino acid. Non-essential because the body can produce this amino acid on its own. We can increase levels of L-Citrulline in the body through the consumption of foods and/or supplements. In order to fuel performance and get those massive muscle pumps we all know and love, a dose of at least 3,000 mg has been shown to be effective for providing the benefits of L-Citrulline.
How does L-Citrulline work? L-Citrulline serves as an endogenous precursor to arginine, thereby greatly enhancing nitric oxide synthesis through what is known as the arginine-nitric oxide pathway. Nitric oxide has various performance-boosting functions in the body including a vasodilatory effect, which will increase blood, oxygen, and nutrient delivery to working muscles. Furthermore, nitric oxide can also reduce the oxygen and energy cost of exercise allowing you to push the working muscles longer and harder.
The increased vasodilation from consuming L-Citrulline has a dramatic impact on physical performance. Increased vasodilation results in increased blood flow around the body and more importantly, to the working muscles. This increased blood flow then allows for increased nutrient delivery as well as increased oxygen delivery through the blood to those working muscles. Put all that together and not only are you opening up the fuel line to your muscles but you’ve gone from using Unleaded 91 fuel to now using BP Ultimate 98 Octane!
What is malate? Malate is an essential intermediate of the Acid (TCA) Cycle, which generates two-thirds of the body’s energy by utilizing fats and carbohydrates consumed through the diet. When you increase malate levels, you increase energy production. Therefore, citrulline malate provides the one-two punch of bringing additional blood (and subsequently, oxygen and nutrients) to exercising muscles, as well as providing increased energy to boost performance levels.
Citrulline Malate Benefits Include:
- Improve blood flow
- Increase nitric oxide production
- Improve oxygen delivery to muscles
- Amplify energy levels
- Increase peak power and training volume
- Enhance recovery
- Increase endurance
- Delay muscle fatigue
Beta-Alanine - 3,200mg
What is Beta-Alanine? Beta-Alanine is a non-essential beta amino acid, which means that the amino group is at the beta position from the carboxylate group. When beta-alanine is introduced into the body, it combines with histidine to produce carnosine, and increases the concentration of carnosine in muscles which helps reduce fatigue. Carnosine scavenges reactive oxygen species, acting as a potent buffer against fatigue toxin production in working muscles. Reduced fatigue toxin production allows muscles to perform more reps, more sets and do more work before fatiguing.
Beta-alanine is now one of the most used and professional-commended supplements to athletes and professionals to enhance the capacity to exercise and train, build lean muscle mass, and improve physical function. 3,200mg of beta-alanine a clinical and scientifically substantiated dosage, and will provide substantial benefits in increasing time to muscle exhaustion, increasing muscle endurance, delaying muscle fatigue, and buffering lactic acid so you can push your body longer and harder every workout.
Beta-Alanine Benefits Include:
- Sharpens mental clarity and focus
- Increases muscle growth
What is Betaine Anhydrous? Much like creatine, betaine is an osmolyte, meaning it increases cellular water retention through osmosis. This gives betaine the distinct ability to cause muscle fibers to swell, which will also stimulate muscle protein synthesis, promoting muscle growth.
How does Betaine Anhydrous work? Increases in cell volumization and muscle cell uptake can significantly increase anaerobic power aka strength gains, as well as improve both endurance and power/force output. Simply put, betaine pulls water into the muscle cells. This increases muscle fullness or volume. This process is also called water-based pumps.
Betaine anhydrous also has the beneficial effect of supporting healthy homocysteine levels.* High homocysteine levels have been shown to impair insulin signaling, which can interfere with muscle growth and fat loss. And finally, betaine supplementation has also been suggested to raise levels of S-adenosylmethionine, also known as SAMe. Having healthy levels of SAMe supports positive mood, promote liver health, and aid joint recovery.
Betaine Anhydrous Benefits Include:
- Enhance strength levels
- Boost power/force output
- Increase cellular hydration
- Boost muscle endurance
- Promotes faster muscle growth
- Increase capacity to perform anaerobic work
Pink Himalayan Salt - 500mg
Sodium is an essential mineral that plays a vital role in maintaining blood volume and blood pressure as well as nerve impulse transmission and muscle contraction. Pink Himalayan salt is a pink-colored salt harvested from the Punjab region of Pakistan, near the Himalayas. Pink Himalayan salt is similar to table salt in that it contains 98% sodium chloride, but it also contains other important trace minerals, including calcium, potassium, and magnesium -- which table salt does not.
One of the roles of sodium (and other electrolytes) in the body is to maintain fluid balance and help activate the muscle tissue and neurons through electrical charges, which is essential for athletes. Though, there appears to be more benefits to sodium for athletes than just this alone. When we become dehydrated, our blood thickens, which means it carries less oxygen and has a knock-on effect on our kidney’s filtering system. This can cause issues for anyone, but particularly athletes.
So, an athlete increasing their salt intake around a workout or training session may experience improvements in cardiovascular fitness, stamina, endurance, and better recovery mostly as a result of increase blood volume. Not only does sodium help to improve hydration and prevent dehydration, but it also plays a role in optimizing the effects of creatine. Salt is thought to improve the rate of creatine uptake in your muscles. This happens due to creatine utilizing the energy of sodium wanting to enter the muscle cells, thus helping transport creatine inward. This allows your body to better absorb and transport creatine throughout your blood system.
Benefits of Pink Himalayan Salt:
- Contains 84 different minerals and trace elements essential to the human body
- Aids in hydration and electrolyte balance for better performance
- Helps optimize muscle contractions
- Helps improve strength by increasing intracellular water retention
- Helps provide better muscle pumps by flooding the muscles with more water
S7 - 50mg
S7 is a precise combination of seven plant-based ingredients that have been shown to increase nitric oxide (N.O.) levels by 230%! S7 is one of the newest nitric oxide boosting ingredients on the market. It’s been shown to be effective at helping the body increase its own production of nitric oxide. Furthermore, it does this using a relatively small dosage. This makes an S7 pre-workout formula a great way to get an amazing pump. This is even more true if S7 is in a complex with other pump enhancers such as Citrulline.
The branded S7 supplement is a combination of green coffee bean extract, green tea extract, turmeric, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli, and kale. Let’s take a closer look at each of these plant ingredients:
Green Coffee Bean - This is a popular fat loss ingredient due to its chlorogenic acid content. It also stimulates endothelial nitric oxide synthase. This is the enzyme group that’s responsible for the production of nitric oxide in the body.
Green Tea Extract - Among many other benefits, green tea inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity. One of the things angiotensin does is constrict blood vessels, slowing blood flow.
Turmeric - This ingredient has significant vasorelaxation properties. In addition, turmeric improves enzyme activity. This in turn improves nitric oxide availability.
Tart Cherry - This is a source of anthocyanins, a compound that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. These flavonoids also support healthy circulation.
Blueberry - A well-known antioxidant. Also, this popular fruit is thought to stimulate nitric oxide production.
Broccoli - A popular vegetable that contains nitrates. In fact, a one hundred gram serving size of broccoli contains about 39.5mgs of nitrates. Of course, these are converted into nitric oxide.
Kale - This popular superfood contains a high amount of CoQ10, which increases nitric oxide. Also, kale has a high nitrate content.
As you can see, the S7 nitric oxide formula consists of only 7 herbs. It’s a one-of-a-kind pump booster. As noted above, this compound works with the body to increase natural nitric oxide levels. No mega-doses are required.
Taurine - 1,000mg
What is Taurine? Taurine is a powerful and very abundant amino acid. In fact, it is the second most abundant amino acid in the body's muscle behind glutamine. It is highly present in the brain and spinal cord, leukocytes, heart and muscle cells, the retina, and indeed almost every tissue throughout the body. Taurine exists in very high concentration in the brain and plays a neuromodulatory role in this area.
Benefits of Taurine:
- Increase brain performance, mental focus, and time on tasks
- Increase strength and muscle force production
- Decrease fatigue and increase muscle function in recovery
- Optimize cellular hydration and maximizes muscle function
- Reduce muscle breakdown by decreasing catabolic 3-methylhistidine
- Increase muscle endurance and time to exhaustion
L-Tyrosine - 500mg
What is L-Tyrosine? L-Tyrosine is a natural form non essential amino acid formed from phenylalanine, that helps to replenish norepinephrine and is used to produce epinephrine and dopamine two brain chemicals that influence mood and reduce stress.
How does L-Tyrosine work? Over the years, L-Tyrosine has become one of the most widely-used ingredients in pre-workouts, and for very good reason. It plays a significant role in the production of Dopamine (our feel good hormone), Adrenaline and Noradrenaline, Epinephrine and Norepinephrine, and thyroid hormones. Supplementing L-Tyrosine replenishes these important neurotransmitters and dramatically improves mental function (focus, concentration, memory, learning).
500mg is a potent dose of L-Tyrosine and will trigger several of our “feel-good” neurotransmitters, including norepinephrine and dopamine. This will greatly enhance a sense of well being, boost mood, and drastically increase mental alertness and focus.
Benefits of L-Tyrosine include:
- Improve brain function (focus, concentration, memory, learning, alertness)
- Increase energy and muscle endurance
- Improve cognitive flexibility the brain’s capacity to switch between thoughts and tasks with efficiency)
- Increase thermogenesis, lipolysis, and maximizes body composition
- Heighten mind-to-muscle connections
Caffeine Anhydrous - 300mg
What is caffeine? Caffeine is without a doubt the most known and utilized stimulant in the world. Caffeine occurs naturally in plants such as coffee beans, tea, and cacao, which is the source of cocoa for chocolate.
How does caffeine work? It's a CNS (Central Nervous System) stimulant that has been shown to reduce feelings of fatigue, increase energy levels, heighten mental alertness, lower perceived exertion, and even lower levels of perceived pain. Caffeine also improves mental acuity and sharpness, helps maintain laser-like focus, and even improves some technical skills both during and after strenuous activity. And, if that isn't enough, it's also believed to enhance the body's ability to use its own fat as fuel, which can effectively increase the time to exhaustion in endurance events.
- Increased mental alertness and energy levels
VitaShure® Caffeine SR - 100mg
AstraGin™ - 50mg
- Increase absorption of other ingredients to maximize benefits
- Support increased lean muscle and strength
- Increase power output and training volume

Now that we know what to expect from Amino, here's the full breakdown of the formula so we can see exactly how Amino will fuel your recovery and enhance your performance!
BCAAs - 5 grams
What are BCAAs? BCAA stands for Branched Chain Amino Acids. These are a specific group of amino acids that have gained significant attention (and rightfully so) especially in the fitness world. There are three branched chain amino acids: Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. These 3 amino acids account for roughly 35-40% of your body's protein, and make up roughly 14% of the amino acids in muscle.
How do BCAAs work? BCAAs are a great tool for aiding in gaining skeletal muscle (the kind that makes you swole), as they stimulate muscle protein synthesis, especially Leucine. We'll talk more about Leucine in just a moment, and why this it is so highly emphasized.Muscle protein synthesis is the metabolic process when your body makes new muscle protein, also known as gains. BCAAs are also especially helpful for maintaining mass while on a calorie-deficit diet as they work in your favor by reducing the rate of protein breakdown. They do this by decreasing the activity of the protein breakdown pathway, and also decreasing the expression of several complexes involved in protein breakdown.
Now, let's discuss the 3 different BCAAs and what roles they play in the body.
L-Leucine - L-Leucine is known as the king of stimulating muscle protein synthesis! It's called the king of MPS because it has a much more severe impact on protein synthesis than any other amino! mTOR is sensitive to leucine concentrations and it directly activates this complex. Decreasing leucine concentrations signal to mTOR that there is not enough dietary protein present to synthesize new skeletal muscle protein, so mTOR deactivates. Increased leucine levels signal to mTOR that there is sufficient dietary protein to synthesize new skeletal muscle protein, so mTOR "turns on." An important point to remember is an increase in mTOR activity (and all aspects of the pathway with which it belongs) results in an increase in protein-building and more growth which equals GAINZ!!
Isoleucine - Isoleucine is extremely similar to it's big brother Leucine in almost every way. It promotes muscle recovery, aids in building lean muscle mass, boosting strength and endurance, regulates the blood-sugar levels, and stimulates HGH release. It is also able to significantly increase glucose uptake into a muscle cell and the usage of glucose during exercise for prolonged endurance and increased athletic performance. Isoleucine is intermediate for its ability to induce muscle protein synthesis, which is where big brother (Leucine) really shines! Isoleucine holds its own in terms of wound healing though, as it helps in the formation of hemoglobin and is strongly involved in the formation of blood-clots, the body's primary defense against infection through open wounds.
Valine - Valine helps prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue by supplying the muscles with extra glucose for energy production during intense physical activity. Valine also helps remove potentially toxic excess nitrogen from the liver and is able to transport nitrogen to other tissues in the body as needed. When the body is in positive nitrogen balance, the body is retaining nitrogen so it can use it to build and repair tissues, such as muscle, or to manufacture other important body proteins such as hormones. Valine is the MVP before workouts, as it's directly responsible for blunting fatigue via a mechanism in the brain.
Amino contains 6 grams of BCAAs per serving and is formulated with a 2:1:1 ratio (2 parts Leucine, 1 part Isoleucine, and 1 part Valine). As mentioned earlier in this blog, this ratio has been studied NUMEROUS times and has been proven time and time again to aid in decreasing recovery times between workouts, fueling muscular recover, decreasing muscle soreness, and ramping up performance in the gym or on the field.
EAAs - 1,000mg
What are EAAs? Our bodies use 20 different amino acids to create muscle proteins to help break down food, grow, repair body tissue, build muscle, and facilitate many other vital bodily functions. While our bodies need all 20 different amino acids to function properly, only 9 are considered “essential”, meaning they cannot be made by the body in relevant amounts, and therefore must be obtained from diet and/or supplementation. The 9 essential amino acids are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. As you can see, these 9 also consist of the 3 BCAAs (Branch Chained Amino Acids).
How do EAAs work? Each of these nine essential amino acids have specific roles in the body and together aid in building lean muscle tissue, burning body fat, preventing muscle breakdown, enhancing muscular recovery, delaying muscle fatigue, boosting muscular endurance, and reducing muscle soreness. Taking EAAs after a workout has been shown to further augment the positive muscle protein synthesis effects of resistance training. After you weight train, your body is in a prime muscle-building state, and EAAs provide your body with the amino acids it needs.
We've already discussed the 3 BCAAs and how they help fuel recovery, so let's dissect the other 6 EAAs and see how they can assist you in obtaining your goals, and keep you performing at your peak.
Phenylalanine - A precursor for tyrosine, dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. Its main metabolite is tyrosine which stimulates the production of epinephrine, dopamine and nor-epinephrine. These 3 make up the hormone family called catecholamines. They are secreted by the adrenal medulla, and are crucial for acute expression of strength and power. They also play an important role during resistance training. Their physiological functions include increased force production via central mechanisms and increased metabolic enzyme activity, increased muscle contraction rate, increased blood pressure, increased energy availability, and increased muscle blood flow (via vasodilation).
Threonine - Assists natural growth and protein balance. It is used in several of the body’s systems including cardiovascular, liver, central nervous and immune. This essential amino acid is used by the body to create other substances that are necessary for the formation of connective tissue and muscle tissue.
Lysine - One of the most vital amino acids when it comes to growth and development. Without Lysine, maintaining peak performance is literally impossible! Your body needs lysine to build protein. Its primary role is growth, and it helps strengthen joints and reduce pain as well. Lysine is mostly derived from skeletal muscle, it builds and maintains that muscle tissue. It also combines with several vitamins, minerals and amino acids, such as Arginine and Vitamin C. With Vitamin C, it works to create another amino acid, carnitine, which helps the body effectively burn fat and deliver oxygen to active muscles. With a healthy amount of arginine, lysine increases the plasma levels of human growth hormones. This results in athletes building muscle and improving performance!
Methionine - A sulfur-containing essential amino acid that plays a vital role in tissue growth and repair as well as in the growth of new blood vessels. It is part of many biochemical reactions, including the production of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM or SAMe), which is involved in the synthesis of creatine, epinephrine, and melatonin along with several other substances. Methionine helps improve athletic performance by building bone strength. It adds bone volume, mineralization, and mineral content which improves your ability to perform high-intensity physical activities, aids in overall weight loss through its role in creating creatine in the body, helps improve athletic performance as well as the muscle to fat ratio in the body, and assists in the breakdown and use of fats, which in turn yields a higher testosterone rate.
Histidine - Required for the growth and repair of tissues, red blood cell production, and protecting tissues from damage from radiation and heavy metals. It is especially necessary for the formation of myelin sheaths, which are layers surrounding nerves that enables faster transmission of signals to the brain. The most notable benefits of Histidine for athletes is when combined with Beta-Alanine, it leads to the synthesis of the di-peptide carnosine. Though carnosine is found in both type 1 and type 2 muscle fibers, it is more prevalent in type 2 fibers, the type primarily used in high-intensity strength training. During high-intensity exercise, lack of oxygen in the muscles leads to the release of lactic acid. This acid dissociates into lactate and hydrogen ions. Carnosine acts as a hydrogen-ion buffer, counteracting lactic acid buildup and the onset of muscle fatigue, which increases your exercise performance via more time to exhaustion. So, the more muscle carnosine you have, the better your workout performance will be!
Tryptophan - Acts as a natural mood regulator to control your hormones and energy levels. One of the particular benefits for your physique is Tryptophan’s role at night in Growth Hormone production, the key hormone that is responsible for metabolizing food, breaking down fat and for cellular repair. It's also a key byproduct of another hormone and the popular supplement called 5-HTP, which has a similar effect on the brain helping with relaxation, sleep, and feelings of well-being. It is also associated with the feeling of happiness because it increases serotonin levels.
Taurine - 1,000mg
What is Taurine - Taurine is an osmolyte that will increase cell volumization and muscle cell uptake, and boost cellular hydration. 1,000mg of L-Taurine is a clinical dose that will provide some monstrous benefits such as increased power/force output, enhanced muscle contractions, improvements in stamina and endurance, increased cellular hydration, accelerated recovery, increased cognitive function (focus, concentration, memory, learning), and supports central nervous system function.
Trace minerals (ConcenTrace®) and electrolytes - 500mg
What are Trace minerals (ConcenTrace®)? Trace minerals are essential minerals that the human body must get from food, but, unlike macronutrients, we only need a very small amount. Even though trace minerals are needed in tiny doses, they are still crucial to our health and development. Trace minerals are integral for ALL of the body's basic functions, from metabolism, muscle and brain function, hormone regulation, and protection from health damaging free radicals.
What are electrolytes? Electrolytes are minerals dissolved in water or other bodily fluids that carry an electric charge. They include sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and phosphate. Electrolytes are essential for the basic cellular functioning of the human body
Electrolytes must be present in proper concentrations to maintain fluid balance, hydration before, during, and after a workout, muscle contractions, and neural activity—all essential to high performance and basic daily functions.
Coconut Water Powder - 500mg
What is Coconut Water Powder - Coconut water has become a popular drink in plenty of workout routines and diet plans. It is derived from the center of the coconut fruit. As a coconut matures, the water begins to dry out. Farmers harvest the coconut while they’re still green, so they provide plentiful coconut water. Freshly tapped coconut water is nothing like the fatty coconut milk that people use for cooking or as a dairy substitute. It’s lighter and transparent. It has a slightly nutty flavor with tropical fruit undertones that transports you to a poolside at the villa.
Coconut water contains crucial electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium, which help keep you hydrated, and is a natural way to replenish electrolytes during and after workouts. We rely on electrolytes to act as sparks for many vital physiological functions. For instance, electrolytes influence muscle contractions, pH levels, and hydration.
